"Collection" is dedicated to the memory of my friend art critic Dmitry Shelest.
In the works of the "Collection" I tried to display the imperceptible connections between different epochs.
In these pictures it is possible to find images of fragments of popular works of art, sketches, figures. And also scraps of letters of those years when we were still together or could communicate by means of simple post correspondence, stamps of envelopes of these letters or keys of apartments not existing any more, once inhabited by us, slices of laces, wildflowers collected once in the parks of castles and manors so frequently visited by us and dried up between pages of books which we then liked to read. Verses by my husband Yury Aleksandrov which as well as possible impart the atmosphere of that time are also used in the pictures.
These pictures are similar to pages of maiden albums of the XIX century. They can draw attention of both casual spectators and people interested in the times which have left for ever only to touch their hearts. Looking at them it is also possible to recollect the XVIII century with the old-fashioned tricky pictures intended for decorating the manors retaining significance and special aroma of the withering epoch for undemanding guests and hospitable hosts."
