It’s poetry of a look into other dimensions. Fiction realization. Myth creation.
Photography is the understanding of mortality. Understanding of the moment and of yourself.
Fact statement, proof, evidence and alibi, objectification of being.
It’s a mock reanimation of somnambular consciousness. Illusion of control.
It’s an outsider’s ambition to become a commander-in-chief. Hunger of a soul.
It’s a shadow’s mania of persecution".
“TIME IS UP” photo series raises the question about ontological impossibility of the time universal for everyone, about human inactive perception of such time, and the photos show glass as an allegory of this inactivity.
"Now" is a crucial condition for being “Here”, and it has the full background of other times.
"Always" is continuity of motion and changes. But objective reality practically doesn’t have any ways to express total synchronism, that leads to mutual time perception. Time cannot be absolute, as it needs a spectator and depends on his/her consciousness level, emotional intensity, and speed of the image perception. Time is subjective and is spent in an individual rhythm. Photography also has its certain duration. When it clashes with the observer’s pulse, it grants an opportunity to fall out of the time linear surface, which is glass in itself. Frozen mirror-like surface of momentary enclosing reflection. Its facets are result of a clash between the multilayered world’s speeds. To break them is to let in changes by entering a new quality of time. The fragments evidence refraction of the past, of its events and meanings. The fragments are flashbacks, that build up a different time on the ruins. The time of the observer.
