"For me artistry is an attempt to realize and fix in space my personal world, some kind of plastic investigation, looking for an answer to the question whether it is possible to standardize beauty and harmony. And how at times one can find them by chance in worthless humdrum objects. Most of my works include elements or things that are of no worth to people anymore, or, simply said, trash. Thrown away boards from pre-revolutionary wardrobes and cupboards, old sacks, cans, flattened by the cars passing by, packing board, etc. Inserted into a canvas they start to live their own independent life, getting into contact with other elements, change their function, running away from their former utility, and become a basis or an element of a new for them harmonic space, bringing into it their character and story."
